climate and design

The local architecture shows many aspects of intelligent climate design, such as material use as well as construction techniques to optimize these materials. In this case the vernacular use of bamboo as a structural and cladding material are very inspiring.

The existing geography of the site implies that the architecture will have to either stand in water, occasionally float in water, or totally float in water. The border has not changed on a map but the river is an ever changing entity and this can determine the development of the construction.

Potential solutions for optimized use of wind for ventilation:
(PREVAILING WEST WIND average windspeed 3m/s)

Potential solutions for building on water :
(RAINY SEASON MAY - OCTOBER average 250 mm rain per day)

Potential solutions for using light but rejecting heat of the sun's fire :
(RISE 6 AM SET 6 PM in summer average angle 90 degrees C)

Potential solutions for trapped heat in earth spheres :
(ALTITUDE 250 m average temperature 25 degrees +/- 5)
